We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting 11/17/2025. This high-acuity, fast-paced urgent care setting requires a provider comfortable with managing a variety of acute conditions, reading EKGs and X-rays, and utilizing on-site lab capabilities. The ideal candidate will have prior emergency medicine experience and be proficient in treating urgent and same-day visits, including sore throats, upper respiratory symptoms, earaches, coughs, and back pain. Currently, appointments are 15 minutes long, transitioning to 20 minutes in November. The multi-specialty clinic is conveniently located just one mile from the nearest ED, and the EMR system in use is Epic. This position offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment.
