We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 45-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and features 12-hour per diem shifts from 9am to 9pm at an urgent care facility operating 365 days a year. Candidates must have prior urgent care and family practice experience, with emergency room experience encouraged.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide urgent care services for patients across the lifespan
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Perform examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards

Additional Information
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license required for California
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Certifications needed: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and active DEA registration
  • Urgent care experience required; family practice experience required; emergency room experience encouraged
