We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 5-week locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Jan 26, 2026, with a Monday through Friday schedule featuring 12-hour day shifts. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of recent emergency department experience and be credentialed with Kaiser in Southern California. The position focuses on urgent care cases with occasional occupational health responsibilities, as all serious emergencies are referred to other facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Evaluate and manage urgent care cases in accordance with facility protocols
  • Provide care for minor injuries, illnesses, and acute conditions
  • Conduct limited occupational health evaluations as required
  • Triage patients and refer serious emergencies to appropriate facilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters

Additional Information
  • Must have at least 1 year of emergency department experience within the last 3 years
  • Preference for providers already credentialed with Kaiser in Southern California
  • Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) required
