Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 3-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity starts on Dec 22, 2025, and involves day shifts from 8:00am to 7:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, and 8:00am to 4:00pm on Wednesday.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care services as part of a collaborative clinical team
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a range of acute conditions
  • Work alongside 1 physician, 4 advanced practice providers, and 10 nurses
  • Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Administer treatments and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and standards of care


Additional Information

  • Active North Carolina nurse practitioner license required
  • Recent urgent care experience required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
