Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Dec 16, 2025, offers full-time rotating 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts, and requires the ability to work independently across multiple nearby clinics.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver autonomous urgent care services to a high patient volume (40+ patients per shift)
- Work collaboratively with a provider, medical assistant, and front desk team structure
- Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, and urgent interventions
- Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries for a diverse patient population
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Additional Information
- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications
- Ability to work autonomously is required; no new graduates will be considered
- DOT certification is a plus
