Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Dec 16, 2025, offers full-time rotating 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts, and requires the ability to work independently across multiple nearby clinics.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver autonomous urgent care services to a high patient volume (40+ patients per shift)
  • Work collaboratively with a provider, medical assistant, and front desk team structure
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, and urgent interventions
  • Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries for a diverse patient population
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
  • Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications
  • Ability to work autonomously is required; no new graduates will be considered
  • DOT certification is a plus
