Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This position begins on Jan 2, 2026, with a 39-day assignment length. Join an established team, working a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, primarily covering day shifts with occasional weekend coverage as needed.

  • Schedule: Rotating schedule, 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts; Sunday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; not included in the regular weekend rotation but may be asked to work weekends occasionally

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide urgent care services within a multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with 1 physician, 4 other providers, and 10 nurses to deliver patient care
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute medical needs
  • Perform clinical procedures appropriate to urgent care settings
  • Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and guidelines

Additional Information
  • Active North Carolina NP license required
  • Recent urgent care experience required
  • Certifications required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
