Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 2-week locum tenens assignment with our client in North Carolina. This opportunity starts on Dec 20, 2025, and features weekend shifts: Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-6pm. The ideal candidate will be board certified and possess at least one year of urgent care experience, with proficiency in key procedures.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and treat urgent care cases including cold, cough, flu, upper respiratory infections, and lacerations
- Perform procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage (I&Ds), and foreign body removal
- Preferred skills include fishhook and toenail removal
- Prescribe medications, including narcotics if comfortable
- Collaborate with RNs, especially during high volumes of COVID patients
- Utilize clinical judgment for urgent care presentations
Additional Information
- Board certification required
- ACLS, BLS, and DOT certifications preferred
- Must have at least one year of urgent care experience
- North Carolina license required
