We are seeking experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Feb 2, 2026. This role offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend hours, providing autonomous care in a high-volume outpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a high patient volume, averaging 40+ patients per shift
  • Work collaboratively with medical assistants and front desk staff
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate medical records
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Additional Information
  • Must hold active Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
  • Must be able to work independently; new graduates are not considered
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
  • DOT certification is a plus
