Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment with our client in North Carolina, starting Mar 4, 2026. This role involves working 12-hour shifts (8 AM - 8 PM weekdays, 8 AM - 4 PM weekends) where you will practice autonomously, managing 40+ patients daily. Responsibilities include comprehensive urgent care cases such as acute illnesses, cold, cough, flu, incision and drainage, suturing, lacerations, and interpreting EKGs and x-rays, primarily for an adult patient population.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work autonomously within an urgent care business model
• Manage a high patient volume, seeing 40+ patients during 12-hour shifts
• Address urgent care cases including acute care, cold, cough, flu, incision and drainage (IND), suturing, and lacerations
• Primarily serve an adult patient population
• Interpret EKGs and x-rays
