Job Description

Our client in North Carolina is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment starting Jun 18, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive urgent care as a sole provider, handling a high volume of adult and pediatric patients from 6 months of age and up, and performing minor procedures such as incision and drainage (I&D) and laceration repair. The successful candidate will manage patient care autonomously and require prior EMR training and onboarding before solo shifts.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive urgent care for patients aged 6 months and older.
  • Manage a high volume of patient cases as the sole provider.
  • Operate autonomously with no direct supervision required.
  • Perform minor procedures including incision and drainage (I&D), laceration repair, and ear irrigation.
  • Utilize Epic EMR for all patient visits and documentation.
  • Collaborate with on-site support staff including Center Manager, Medical Assistants, and Patient Service Associates.
  • Engage with an offsite supervising physician for APP support.
  • Successfully complete a clinical screening.
  • Undergo mandatory EMR training and onboarding prior to independent practice.
