Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (9am–7pm), rotating between urgent care clinics with no set weekly schedule
Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluate and treat walk-in patients with acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, and urgent but non-emergent conditions
Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and abscess management
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostics such as labs, X-rays, and EKGs
Prescribe medications and manage short-term treatment plans
Partner with physicians and hospital staff for patient escalation, transfers, or referrals as needed
Educate patients and families on follow-up care, prevention, and appropriate utilization of urgent care versus emergency services
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (Meditech EHR) and ensure compliance with protocols and state regulations
Additional Information
Must hold a valid Oregon nurse practitioner license
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Previous experience with urgent care procedures and independent diagnostic interpretation strongly preferred
