Starting on 07/17/2025, this high-acuity, fast-paced position requires expertise in managing a wide range of urgent care cases, including chest pains, abdominal pains, sepsis, appendicitis, and early DKA. The schedule involves 36-44 hours per week, including 2-3 weekends per month and all federal holidays, with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage high-acuity urgent care cases in a fast-paced environment
• Perform full workups for patients presenting with various acute conditions
• Interpret EKGs and other diagnostic tests
• Utilize on-site CT, ultrasound, and laboratory services
• Manage patients in the infusion center as needed
• Provide extended observation care for patients when required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Additional Information:
• Must be a licensed Physician Assistant with Urgent Care experience
• Active California PA license required
• Experience in high-acuity urgent care or emergency medicine preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making skills essential
