Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 91-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Dec 1, 2025, and offers flexible 8-hour shifts from 11am to 5pm, seven days a week. The ideal candidate will have recent emergency room and urgent care experience, and will be comfortable managing same day and next day appointments as well as walk-in patients in a dynamic rapid care setting. Familiarity with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide patient care in a mixed emergency room and urgent care environment (rapid care)
  • Manage same day and next day appointments, as well as walk-in cases
  • Deliver care for a variety of acute conditions requiring urgent assessment and treatment
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
  • Apply recent experience in both ER and urgent care settings to optimize patient outcomes
  • Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain high standards of care

Additional Information

  • Active California license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
