We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 91-day locum tenens assignment in California. This role starts on Dec 1, 2025, and offers a mix of same day and next day appointments, walk-ins, and rapid care shifts with 8-hour schedules covering both urgent care and emergency department settings. Candidates must have recent ER and urgent care experience and hold a current California license.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide medical care for same day and next day appointments in urgent care and rapid care settings
  • Assess and treat patients presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions
  • Manage walk-in patients with varying acuity levels
  • Perform examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the facility
  • Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
  • Ensure high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care for all patients

Additional Information
  • Must have recent experience in both emergency room and urgent care settings
  • Active California Physician Assistant license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
