Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 91-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. This opportunity features 8-hour shifts in a mix of ER and urgent care settings, with coverage for same day and next day appointments as well as walk-in patients.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide care for same day and next day appointments as well as walk-in patients in both ER and urgent care settings
  • Apply recent ER and urgent care experience to a rapid care environment
  • Assess and treat a wide range of acute conditions across all patient age groups
  • Perform clinical procedures and manage cases typical of both ER and urgent care
  • Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and patient management
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and adhere to established protocols

Additional Information
  • Must have a valid California license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Demonstrated experience in both ER and urgent care settings is essential
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
