Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Nov 10, 2025, with day shifts Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will have recent urgent care experience, hold an active CA license with DEA and furnishing authority, and be comfortable serving a diverse patient population, including a high percentage of Spanish-speaking patients with support from translators and bilingual medical assistants.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide urgent care services to patients in a fast-paced clinic setting
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of acute medical conditions
- Collaborate with medical assistants and translators to care for approximately 75 percent Spanish-speaking patients
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Ensure compliance with California state licensure requirements and DEA regulations
Additional Information
- Locum experience is required
- FQHC, Rural Health, or Indian Health Service experience preferred
- Must have active California Physician Assistant license, DEA registration, and furnishing license
- Recent position or experience must be in urgent care
