Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Jan 26, 2026, lasts 5 weeks, and features day shifts, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 9:00pm. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of emergency department experience within the past three years and be comfortable managing urgent care cases in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Evaluate and treat urgent care cases presenting to the clinic
  • Manage cases within the scope of urgent care; refer serious cases to appropriate facilities
  • Provide some occupational health services as needed
  • Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with current clinical guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters

Additional Information
  • Must hold a current California license
  • At least 1 year of emergency department experience in the last 3 years required
  • Preference for candidates already credentialed with Kaiser in Southern California
