Job Description
We are actively seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 6-day assignment starting Feb 16, 2026, in California. This role involves working 3 10-hour shifts per week, seeing 3-4 patients per hour, and managing a variety of low acuity cases including complex laceration repair, neonatal and pediatric assessments, and X-ray interpretation. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in both a Rapid Medical Evaluation (RME) unit and the regular Emergency Department.
Responsibilities and Duties
- See 3-4 patients per hour, managing low acuity cases such as ankle sprains, stitches, wrist injuries, and major joint issues.
- Perform complex laceration repair in a timely manner.
- Conduct neonatal and pediatric assessments, including patients from the first day of life.
- Read X-rays, adhering to established X-ray guidelines.
- Work in both the Rapid Medical Evaluation (RME) unit and the regular Emergency Department, seeing soft 3s, 4s, and 5s acuity.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Family Medicine required.
