Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 10-day assignment in California, starting Feb 18, 2026. This role requires weekend availability, offering flexible shifts such as five 8-hour days or three to four 12-hour days. You will be instrumental in a fast-paced urgent care setting, managing a diverse range of high-acuity cases and providing comprehensive patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform full workups for high acuity patients presenting with various conditions including chest pains, abdominal pains, sepsis, appendicitis, obstruction, diverticulitis, dizziness/vertigo, and surgical workups.
  • Manage early DKA cases and rule out chest pains.
  • Interpret EKG and CXR results.
  • Directly admit patients to the hospital and send patients directly to the OR as needed.
  • Provide care for patients across all age groups, from newborns (1-2 weeks old) to geriatrics, including those with RSV and general respiratory issues.
  • Manage MRI and Ultrasound studies.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal.
  • Utilize all lab capabilities, with STAT lab results available within one hour.
