Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in CA

Job Description

Our client in California is seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment beginning May 18, 2026. This role involves managing a high volume of high-acuity cases, requiring proficiency in procedures such as laceration repair, fracture management, and independent urgent care functions. Shifts are typically 10 or 12 hours between 9 AM and 9:30 PM, with a schedule that may include weekend shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage a high volume of high acuity cases.
• Perform laceration repair, ingrown toenail removal, and incision & drainage (I&D).
• Provide fracture management.
• Demonstrate strong suturing skills.
• Interpret X-ray, EKG, and laboratory results.
• Comfortable with comprehensive patient work-ups.
• Function independently within an Urgent Care setting.
