Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in CA

Job Description

Our client in California is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant to join their team for a focused 60-day assignment, commencing Jun 1, 2026. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of urgent care cases. The schedule involves working 4 nine-hour shifts per week, which will be varied and non-consecutive, with the clinic observing Sunday closures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Handle high acuity, fast-paced urgent care cases.
• Utilize emergency department experience.
• Interpret EKGs and X-rays.
• Manage urgent and same-day visits for conditions such as sore throats, upper respiratory symptoms, earaches, coughs, backaches, headaches/migraines, and bladder/urinary tract infections.
• Address minor injuries including ankle/wrist sprains, lacerations or cuts to extremities (arms, fingers, legs, toes, facial, scalp), and contusions.
