This opportunity offers a 120-day assignment starting on 08/04/2025, at a Hospital setting. The schedule is flexible, with options for Monday through Friday shifts from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, based on the provider's preference. The role involves covering a walk-in clinic adjacent to a primary care clinic, serving a diverse patient population with a focus on geriatric care. Responsibilities include managing various acute conditions, performing diagnostic tests, administering injections, and providing comprehensive urgent care services for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide urgent care services in a walk-in clinic setting

• Manage a diverse patient population with a focus on geriatric care

• Perform diagnostic tests including COVID-19, strep, and upper respiratory testing

• Administer injections and provide wound care

• Treat common urgent care conditions such as upper respiratory issues, tick-related concerns, and gastrointestinal problems

• Assess and manage acute conditions like knee pain

• Provide care for pediatric patients

• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation and management

• Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery

Additional Information:

• Active Maine Physician Assistant license required

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred

• Comfort with treating patients across all age groups, including pediatrics

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
