We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This role begins on Oct 13, 2025, and features 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekday and weekend schedule. The assignment requires autonomous practice alongside a medical assistant and front desk team, providing high-volume urgent care services.

• Schedule: 36/40 hour week rotation; most weeks are Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday in week 1 and Monday, Thursday, Friday in week 2; 8am-8pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver urgent care services to 40+ patients per shift in a high-volume setting
• Work autonomously with support from a medical assistant and front desk staff
• Provide patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a broad range of urgent care needs
• Manage documentation and patient records using Epic EMR
• Ensure a high standard of patient care and adherence to clinical protocols
• Obtain and maintain DOT certification if not already held

Additional Information

• Must hold an active North Carolina license
• At least 1 year of experience in urgent care or emergency room settings required; new graduates will not be considered
• Must be able to work independently
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
• DOT certification required or must be obtained before start
