Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 6-week locum tenens assignment in North Carolina starting Dec 1, 2025. This opportunity features 12-hour day shifts with a schedule spanning Dec 1, 15-16, and 22-24. Candidates must have at least one year of urgent care experience and be proficient in procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with cold, cough, flu, upper respiratory infections, and lacerations
  • Perform required procedures including suturing, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal
  • Preferred ability to perform fishhook and toenail removal
  • Prescribe medications, including narcotics if comfortable
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, especially during periods of high COVID patient volume
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols

Additional Information
  • Board certification required
  • Active North Carolina license needed
  • ACLS, BLS, and DOT certifications preferred
  • At least one year of urgent care experience required
