Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 2-week locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 20, 2025. This weekend-focused role features shifts on Saturday (9am-6pm) and Sunday (10am-6pm), providing care for a high volume of urgent cases in a fast-paced clinic setting.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with cold, cough, flu, upper respiratory infections, lacerations, and similar urgent care needs
- Perform procedures including suturing, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal
- Preferred experience with fishhook and toenail removal procedures
- Prescribe medications, including narcotics if comfortable and clinically indicated (not mandatory)
- Collaborate with nursing staff, with RNs handling most COVID swabbing
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Additional Information
- Board certification is required
- ACLS, BLS, and DOT certifications preferred
- Minimum of one year of urgent care experience required
