Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Mar 4, 2026. This role involves autonomous work, managing 40+ patients per 12-hour shift, covering urgent care cases, and reading EKGs and x-rays, with a schedule of 8 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 4 PM on weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work autonomously within a provider/MA/front desk model.
• Handle 12-hour shifts, seeing 40+ patients daily.
• Provide urgent care for common acute conditions, including cold, cough, flu, IND procedures, suturing, and lacerations.
• Primarily treat an adult patient population.
• Interpret EKGs and x-rays.
• Shift schedule is 8 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 4 PM on weekends.
