Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant to join our client in North Carolina for a 60-day assignment starting Mar 11, 2026. This role involves working autonomously in a fast-paced urgent care setting, handling 12-hour shifts during the week and weekends, and seeing over 40 patients per shift. Responsibilities include managing a diverse range of urgent care cases from acute illnesses to minor procedures and interpreting diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work autonomously within an urgent care model supported by MA and front desk staff.
• Manage a high volume of patients, seeing over 40 per 12-hour shift.
• Address urgent care cases including acute care, colds, coughs, flu, I&Ds, suturing, and lacerations.
• Primarily treat an adult patient population.
• Interpret EKGs and x-rays as part of patient assessment and treatment.

• Shift Hours: 8 AM - 8 PM on weekdays, 8 AM - 4 PM on weekends
