Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Apr 27, 2026. This role involves working autonomously in a provider, MA, and front desk model, with 12-hour shifts seeing over 40 patients. The schedule includes weekdays from 8 AM to 8 PM and weekends from 8 AM to 4 PM, handling a broad range of urgent care cases, including acute care, cold, cough, flu, IND procedures, suturing, and lacerations, with a primary focus on adult patients and requiring the ability to read EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work autonomously within a provider, MA, and front desk team model.
• Manage a high volume of patients, seeing 40+ patients per 12-hour shift.
• Provide urgent care services for acute conditions such as colds, coughs, and flu.
• Perform procedures including incision and drainage (IND), suturing, and managing lacerations.
• Primarily serve an adult patient population.
• Interpret EKGs and X-rays.
