Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for our client in North Carolina, starting Apr 27, 2026, for a 120-day assignment. This role involves working autonomously to manage a high volume of urgent care cases, including acute conditions, lacerations, EKGs, and X-rays, across 12-hour shifts during weekdays and shorter shifts on weekends. You will be responsible for seeing over 40 patients per day within a provider/MA/front desk business model.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work autonomously within an urgent care setting.
• Manage a patient volume of 40+ per day.
• Perform 12-hour shifts during weekdays (8 AM - 8 PM) and 8 AM - 4 PM shifts on weekends.
• Address urgent care cases including acute care, colds, coughs, flu, I&D, suturing, and lacerations.
• Primarily treat an adult patient population.
• Read EKGs and X-rays accurately.
