Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 3-week locum tenens assignment in New Jersey starting Nov 1, 2025. This role features day shifts and requires experience in urgent care, including the ability to suture and splint. Providers are expected to see all patients who arrive before closing and complete all charting during working hours.

Job Details

  • Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant
  • Schedule: 8am–4pm; last patient accepted until 8pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends. Assignment dates: Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 23, 2025.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide urgent care services, including evaluation and management of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Perform procedures such as suturing and splinting
  • Manage COVID-related cases as needed
  • Ensure all patients who arrive before closing are seen before shift end
  • Complete, sign, and close all charts with accurate diagnoses during working hours to ensure timely documentation
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation

Additional Information
  • Must hold active New Jersey license, DEA, and CDS
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care environment
