 We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Urgent Care for a locum tenens position in Oklahoma through Barton Associates. This 120-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, with flexible scheduling options. The ideal candidate will provide a range of services including sick visits, preventative care, immunizations, and possible laceration repairs. Working alongside the main MD, the PA will be expected to see 20 patients per day, assist with consultations, and ensure efficient patient flow. The provider will use Athenahealth software for patient management. This opportunity offers various schedule options and the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide urgent care services including sick visits and preventative care

• Administer various immunizations (childhood, seasonal flu, COVID, pneumonia, shingles)

• Perform laceration repairs and suturing as needed

• Assist with consultations for the practice

• Manage a daily patient load of approximately 20 patients

• Utilize Athenahealth software for patient records and treatment planning

• Collaborate with the main MD and staff to ensure efficient patient flow

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in urgent care practices

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Oklahoma

• Experience in urgent care or similar fast-paced medical environment required

• Comfortable with a diverse range of urgent care procedures and treatments
