Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute conditions, minor injuries, and infections.
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
- Prescribe medications and manage short-term treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient referrals and transfers when necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and health optimization.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in the Meditech EHR system.
Additional Information
- Required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Oregon.
- Previous experience in urgent care, emergency, or high-volume primary care settings is essential.
