We are seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This role begins on Nov 24, 2025, and features a schedule of 4 10-hour shifts per week. The Physician Assistant will handle urgent care cases, including acute illnesses, minor injuries, and basic procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute conditions, minor injuries, and infections.
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
  • Prescribe medications and manage short-term treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient referrals and transfers when necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and health optimization.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in the Meditech EHR system.

Additional Information
  • Required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Oregon.
  • Previous experience in urgent care, emergency, or high-volume primary care settings is essential.
  • Proficient in managing a diverse patient population across all ages.
