Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute conditions, minor injuries, and infections.
Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
Prescribe medications and manage short-term treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient referrals and transfers when necessary.
Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and health optimization.
Maintain meticulous documentation in the Meditech EHR system.
Additional Information
Required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Oregon.
Previous experience in urgent care, emergency, or high-volume primary care settings is essential.
Proficient in managing a diverse patient population across all ages.
