Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (9a to 7p), rotating among 3 clinics with alternating schedules
Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluate and treat walk-in patients with acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, and urgent but non-emergent conditions
Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and abscess management
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostics (labs, X-rays, EKGs) to guide treatment
Prescribe medications and manage short-term treatment plans
Partner with physicians and hospital staff for escalations, transfers, or referrals requiring higher-level care
Educate patients and families on follow-up care, prevention, and appropriate use of urgent care versus emergency services
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and state regulations
Additional Information
Previous urgent care, emergency, or high-volume primary care experience required
Proficiency in common urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D, wound management)
Must be comfortable with all age groups
Experience with Meditech EHR
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Strong adaptability and communication skills essential
