We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California. This role starts on Jan 12, 2026, and spans 200 days, offering full-time, weekday day shifts from 8am to 5pm. The position focuses on acute care, walk-in visits, and immediate procedural needs within an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide outpatient care for acute and chronic conditions
• Manage acute care cases and walk-in patients
• Coordinate referrals and specialty care, including telehealth services
• Deliver culturally sensitive care for the Native community
• Educate patients on lifestyle, prevention, and self-management
• Document care accurately in the EHR
• Support after-hours urgent care needs
• Collaborate with lab, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure follow-up
• Participate in quality improvement and PCMH standards

Additional Information

• Must hold a valid California medical license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Acute care or urgent care experience preferred
