We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts, typically 7-10 consecutive days or nights per month, with preference for day shifts during the initial stretch for supervision as you acclimate to the clinic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide urgent care services in a non-trauma ER setting
  • Perform intubation, chest tubes, and central lines (these procedures are infrequent)
  • Deliver patient care consistent with fast-track urgent care standards
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Additional Information
  • 1+ years of recent ER experience required
  • Must be actively board certified (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Hospital Medicine, or Urgent Care)
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Candidates may be boarded in any specialty but must hold active board certification
  • Will consider a later start depending on provider availability; need is ongoing
