We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician to fulfill a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, specializing in Urgent Care. This opportunity starts on Oct 20, 2025, requiring the Physician to manage adult and pediatric patients from 6 weeks of age, with support from nurse practitioners or physician assistants. The Physician will work 12-hour shifts, approximately 9-10 times a month, in a high-volume setting where quick decision-making and efficiency are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the sole physician on most occasions, managing a patient load of 30-45 per day.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients starting at 6 weeks old, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Perform clinical procedures under urgent care settings, supported by medical assistants who assist with blood draws, vitals, and EKGs.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information
  • Required board certification in Family Medicine.
  • Must hold an unrestricted Texas medical license and DEA certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in urgent care, with an ER background preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Allscripts EMR system.
