We are seeking a board-certified Urology Surgeon for a unique locum tenens position in North Carolina. This opportunity offers a 60-day assignment starting on 06/16/2025, focusing on training and proctoring critical care physicians in suprapubic catheter (SPC) placement using the T-SPeC® system. The schedule involves Monday-Friday 8-hour split coverage with day and evening shift training blocks. There are no overnight shifts, on-call duties, office clinics, or scheduled surgical cases unless required for training. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the T-SPeC® procedure, flexible cystoscopy, and have excellent teaching skills.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Serve as an onsite procedural proctor for ICU-based critical care physicians
• Train clinicians in urethral passage visualization and cystoscopic evaluation
• Supervise and teach the T-SPeC® (Transurethral Suprapubic Endo-Cystostomy) procedure
• Provide guidance on the inside-to-outside approach for SPC placement
• Ensure safe and effective training in bladder dome entry techniques
• Demonstrate proper use of Ambu® or similar flexible scopes
• Assess and credential physicians in performing the T-SPeC® procedure
• Adapt training methods to suit individual learner needs
• Maintain detailed records of training sessions and physician progress
Additional Information:
• Board certification in Urology required
• Active North Carolina medical license required
• Extensive experience with T-SPeC® system and SPC placement essential
