Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This full-time opportunity starts on Mar 9, 2026, and requires flexibility for 12-hour shifts with call, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends. Qualified candidates will have significant vascular and/or cardiac surgery experience and advanced procedural skills to support a high-acuity surgical team.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Suture removal
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Intraoperative first assisting
  • Assist in surgery and removal of dialysis catheters
  • Write prescriptions
  • Coordination of care and rounding
  • Pre-operative physical exams

Additional Information
  • Active NY state license required at time of submission
  • NCCPA or ANCC/AANP certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certifications required
  • No new graduates; must have vascular and/or cardiac surgery experience and medical management experience
  • Self-Query NPDB report required within the month of submission
