Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Dec 1, 2025. Join a collaborative team working Monday through Thursday, 10-hour day shifts, with rotating evening and weekend call coverage. This role is ideal for a PA with at least one year of first assist vascular surgery experience, preferably in a trauma setting.

  • Provider Type Needed: Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm; occasional evening call; 1:4 weekend call rotation (Friday evening through Monday morning)


Responsibilities and Duties

  • First assist in vascular surgical procedures (2-6 surgeries per day)
  • Perform procedures as directed
  • Complete discharge orders and patient rounding (10-20 inpatients daily)
  • Float between the OR and the patient floor as needed
  • Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage
  • Round with the vascular surgeon on Saturday and Sunday mornings during weekend call


Additional Information

  • Minimum one year of PA first assist experience in vascular surgery required
  • Trauma experience strongly preferred
  • Must hold Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Board certification in Vascular Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Ohio
