Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut starting Nov 24, 2025. This mobile position offers a flexible schedule of 2-4 days per week, with day shifts from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The ideal candidate will have recent experience with sharp and surgical debridement and be comfortable traveling between patient locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide wound care services, including sharp and surgical debridement
  • Administer lidocaine as part of patient care procedures
  • Travel to patient locations within a 10 to 90-minute radius (rarely up to 90 minutes)
  • See 6-7 patients per day in a mobile setting
  • Coordinate weekly schedules with a scheduler and receive travel details 1-2 days in advance
  • Maintain excellent bedside manner and ensure timely chart completion, including documentation of pictures using an iPad
  • Collaborate closely with patients to deliver high-quality wound care

Additional Information
  • Active Connecticut license required
  • Must have recent (within the past 3-6 months) experience performing sharp and surgical debridement
  • Wound Care board certification required
  • Additional certifications are a plus
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills needed
