Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Wound Care for a locum tenens position in Oregon. This 60-day assignment at a Hospital requires coverage for four 10-hour shifts per week, starting from 07/07/2025. The NP will be responsible for performing 6 hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) dives per day, conducting skin lesion biopsies, and carrying out debridement procedures. This challenging opportunity offers a chance to work in a specialized wound care environment, providing critical care to patients with complex wound healing needs.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform 6 hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy dives per day

• Conduct skin lesion biopsies as needed

• Carry out wound debridement procedures

• Assess and evaluate complex wounds and develop treatment plans

• Monitor wound healing progress and adjust care plans accordingly

• Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards for wound care and HBO therapy

• Stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and technologies

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care services


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed in Oregon

• Certification in Wound Care strongly preferred

• Experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy essential

• Strong clinical skills in wound assessment and management

• Ability to work efficiently in a specialized care environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

• Flexibility to work four 10-hour shifts per week
