Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in MI

This opportunity begins on June 2, 2025, and spans 60 days with potential for extension. The position involves working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing comprehensive family medicine care with a focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) patients.

Job Details:

Location: Michigan

LOA: 60 days (June 2 - August 29, 2025) 

Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for approximately 150 SUD patients per month 

• Manage a diverse caseload of family medicine patients

• Conduct chronic case management, preventative care, and screenings 

• Handle acute care cases as needed 

• Perform comprehensive patient examinations and develop treatment plans

• Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress 

• Provide patient education on addiction recovery and general health maintenance 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records 

• Adhere to all relevant protocols for addiction medicine and family practice

Additional Information: 

• Michigan medical license required for this position

• Strong experience in addiction medicine and MAT is essential 

• Comfort with managing a high volume of SUD patients is crucial

• Ability to balance addiction medicine with general family practice duties
