This 100-day opportunity, starting 05/16/2025 with orientation, involves working at a healthcare facility providing cardiothoracic surgical services. The schedule includes various blocks of coverage from May through October, with clinic hours Monday to Friday varying based on workload. The ideal candidate should be comfortable performing a range of cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG's, TAVR, and dissections. This role offers the potential for extension and requires an active Virginia medical license.

• Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG's, TAVR, and dissections

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care

• Manage clinic patients and surgical cases

• Provide on-call coverage as needed

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care

• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation

• Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in cardiothoracic surgery

• Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical techniques
