Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as the solo critical care practitioner during night shifts.
Perform advanced procedures such as A&C lines, intubations, and chest tubes.
Manage critical care patients independently, ensuring continuity of care with daytime teams.
Coordinate patient transfer and communications with a flagship hospital for specific cases like cardiac, GI, IR, and surgery.
Document and maintain accurate patient records using the EMR system Powerchart.
Additional Information
Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must be able to provide case logs demonstrating recent procedure experience.
No provision for training or proctoring; candidates must be fully competent upon commencement of the role.
