The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in TMJ treatments, including injections, trigger point therapy, and management of jaw pain. This role focuses exclusively on new patient consultations for TMJ cases referred by the hospital's Head and Neck Surgery department. The dentist will be responsible for diagnosing whether pain is muscular or joint-related, developing treatment plans, and performing necessary procedures such as TMJ injections and bite guard fittings.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Evaluate new patients referred for TMJ disorders
• Perform comprehensive TMJ examinations and diagnostics
• Administer TMJ injections and trigger point therapy
• Diagnose and differentiate between muscular and joint-related jaw pain
• Develop and implement treatment plans for TMJ disorders
• Fit bite guards for Head and Neck Surgery patients
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
• Collaborate with the Head and Neck Surgery department
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Provide patient education on TMJ disorders and management
• Stay updated on the latest TMJ treatment techniques and technologies
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in California
• Extensive experience in TMJ treatments required
• Proficiency in Epic EHR system preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a hospital setting
• Comfortable working solely with TMJ cases (no general dentistry procedures)
