Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position in New York. This 60-day assignment begins on 04/21/2025, with a Monday to Thursday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a wide range of dental procedures, including simple and surgical extractions, fillings, crowns, bridges, immediate dentures, partial dentures, and exams. The dentist will be responsible for managing one chair, with a second chair available for overflow. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic dental setting while enjoying the flexibility of a locum tenens role, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and develop treatment plans 

• Conduct simple and surgical extractions 

• Provide restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, and bridges 

• Fit and adjust immediate dentures and partial dentures 

• Manage patient care and follow-up appointments 

• Utilize Eaglesoft dental practice management software for documentation 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff to ensure efficient patient care 

• Adhere to all practice policies and procedures 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental best practices and techniques 

• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of dental equipment 

• Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health and treatment options


Requirements: 

• Active New York state dental license 

• Experience in general dentistry, including extractions and prosthodontics 

• Proficiency in Eaglesoft dental practice management software 

• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
