Job Description

 We are seeking an experienced General Dentist for a locum tenens position at a dental clinic in Tennessee. This 50-day assignment, starting 05/05/2025, requires coverage Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including hygiene, fillings, crown and bridge work, full and partial dentures, removable prosthetics, implant restoration, endodontics up to premolars, and simple and surgical extractions. There is a particular emphasis on denture work. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with all aspects of general dentistry and must be enrolled in Tennessee Medicaid. This role offers diverse dental care experiences with the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform comprehensive general dentistry procedures

• Conduct dental hygiene appointments and cleanings

• Provide restorative treatments including fillings and crowns

• Perform crown and bridge work

• Fabricate and fit full and partial dentures

• Manage removable prosthetics cases

• Conduct implant restorations

• Perform endodontic procedures up to premolars

• Execute simple and surgical extractions

• Develop and present treatment plans to patients

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Denticon software

• Collaborate with dental assistants and support staff

• Ensure compliance with all relevant dental and ethical guidelines

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Participate in Tennessee Medicaid program

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Tennessee

• Tennessee Medicaid enrollment is required

• Strong experience in all aspects of general dentistry, especially denture work

• Comfortable using Denticon dental practice management software

• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction
