Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct well and sick exams for patients of all ages
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses
• Provide emergency room follow-up care
• Administer immunizations
• Perform routine physical examinations
• Conduct pregnancy testing
• Perform STD testing and provide appropriate treatment
• Manage walk-in patients in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Nextgen EMR (or paper charting for assignments less than 2 weeks)
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed
• Ensure adherence to all clinic policies and procedures
• Stay current with the latest developments in family practice and urgent care
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in California
• Family Nurse Practitioner certification required
• Experience in both family practice and urgent care settings preferred
