Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Dec 1, 2025, with day shifts Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will have FQHC experience, at least three years out of residency, and a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population
  • Maintain pace with a high-volume clinical setting
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive attitude
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system if required
  • Communicate effectively with patients, including use of language line or Spanish skills if available
  • Show dedication and commitment to the role and patient care

Additional Information
  • FQHC experience required
  • Minimum three years of experience post-residency
  • Cerner experience and/or Spanish language proficiency highly preferred
  • Use of over-the-phone interpreter considered a significant advantage
  • Must have an active California license
  • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Required board certifications: Family Medicine, Pediatrics
