Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in South Dakota, starting May 12, 2025. This full-time position involves providing primary care services in a multi-specialty clinic setting, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a light patient load of 5-6 patients per day in a small-town family practice environment. This long-standing community clinic focuses on general outpatient family medicine, including walk-ins. The role does not involve OB care, infant care, or suturing. This opportunity offers a very manageable workload in a well-established practice setting. Proficiency with Meditech EHR is required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages (excluding infants)
• Manage a patient load of 5-6 patients per day
• Handle walk-in patients and general family medicine cases
• Conduct physical examinations and preventive care screenings
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses and chronic conditions
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance
• Accurately document patient encounters using Meditech EHR
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting
• Adapt to the needs of a small-town community practice
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in South Dakota
